The Trinidadian Parliament is called the Red House located in Port of Spain the nation’s capital. The Parliament is divided into 2 houses or chambers known as Bicameral. The Parliament consists of the House of Representatives which has 41 members elected for a 5 year term or serve time in a single seat. It also has the Senate which has 31 members who are chosen by President. Senate divided; 16 government senators chosen by Prime Minister; 6 Opposition Senators chosen by the Leader of the Opposition; 9 independent senators chosen by the President of the Senate to represent other sections of the society.
